May 2012 Note
A Social Security Administration representative will be
conducting a workshop from 2:30 -- 4:00pm on Friday, 9/28. As there is much to
cover in such a short time, perhaps providing her with a list of points of
interest, she could be better prepared when structuring her session with us.
Please call or email me with any particular questions or clarifications you
would like to have covered and I'll forward them along. "Fore-informed is
fore-prepared." Is the the right quote? I have already been asked to request
information on the Compassionate Allowance Program (fast-track disability
determinations). If we keep her focused on what we need to know we should all
leave there better informed. Help us to help you get the answers that you want
or need to know..

April 2012 Update
We have expanded the agenda to include our youth who are the hope and future of ACBT.
January 2012 Update
The DFW 2012 Conference Committee wishes all ACB Members a Healthy, Happy, and Prosperous New Year. We have our work cut out for us this year and are eager and open to considering any suggestions that will result in a pleasant, informative, and successful ACBT Conference on Thursday, September 27th through Sunday, the 30th.
A Walk-a-Thon is on this year’s agenda so take part by starting early on recruiting more pledges than ever before thus enabling ACBT’s goals to be met and surpassed.
We know there’s lots of talent among our ACB Members so please plan on sharing it at the Friday Night Talent Show. If you have questions or are ready to register, contact Jean Russell by phone at 817 589-2306 or email her at jruss19@sbcglobal.net Let us hear from you, as, those of us who can’t play a note, carry a tune, or dance a step, are looking forward to being entertained.
At this time we are asking ALL CHAPTERS TO RECRUIT AND HOST AT LEAST ONE NEW JUNIOR MEMBER TO THIS YEAR’S ACBT CONFERENCE. First Timers Funding
When setting up your 2012 calendars, reserve Thursday, September 27th through Sunday, September 30 for the DFW ACBT STATE Conference! Your DFW Chapters invite you to come share these days with us at the DoubleTree Hotel near the Galleria in Farmers Branch/Dallas at $74 per night.

YAHOO Y’ALL! First Announcement
The DFW Chapters are proud to announce that we will be co-hosting the 35th State
Conference in 2012. We have contracted with The DoubleTree near the Galleria, in
Dallas/Farmers Branch as our hosting hotel at a terrific guest room rate of $74
per might. We invite "all y'all" to gather with us on Thursday, September 27
through Sunday, September 30, 2012. Mark your calendars and save us a spot!
The Hotel offers a shuttle service within a 3 mile radius of its location.
Within that radius is the Galleria for shopping and 170 eateries to satisfy
every pallet. Although the hotel does not offer shuttle service to and from the
airports we will be looking for any possible alternatives.
A walk-a-thon will be on the agenda in 2012 so plan to participate and allow
time to arrange for as many sponsors as possible. The walk-a-thon is an ACBT
fundraiser and your support is needed to help fund its many worthy endeavors
throughout the following year.
Practice your scales, rosin your bows, put on your tap shoes, tune your guitars,
and spread the word that we are looking for members with talent for our Friday
night Talent Show. Contact Jean Russell by email to register to participate.
(jruss19@sbcglobal.net).
We will be planning special entertainment for our junior membership.
Our T-Shirts in 2012 depict the outline of Texas with Chapter City names and
logos displayed in white on a vivid red shirt. T-Shirts on sale for $10.
Come gather with us in Dallas and experience that famous spirit of camaraderie
and support for which our great organization is known.
Watch for our next update.
