ACBT cooperates with the news media in presenting information of interest to visually impaired persons.
All members receive the Braille Forum, the national publication of the American Council of the Blind. It is published ten times a year and is available in Braille, large print, on cassette, on disk, and by e-mail. ACBT publishes the Texas Star, a quarterly newsletter, in large print, on cassette tape, and via the ACBT list serv. ACBT also sponsors a list serv. ACBT members are now eligible to join the Associated Blind of Oklahoma/Texas Federal Credit Union, and to participate in its savings, credit, and insurance services. Organized in 1954, its has more than $400,000 in assets.
